Made of the Mist: Life in Niagara During the Long 19th Century
This website accompanies an exhibition held in the Brock University Library from March 3-26, 2025.
Made of the Mist: Life in Niagara During the Long 19th Century features a selection of items from Brock’s Archives & Special Collections chosen by Visual Arts students in VISA 2P90. Each student in the class selected an item from the collection to research and present.
There is a broad range of material in this exhibit–from stereographs to sketches–but all of the items are connected by a focus on life and culture in Niagara during the long 19th century (end of the 18th century through to the early years of the 20th century).
